I grew up a poor girl, not going to lie. It's not something I try to hide and I carry my poverty with pride. Hey, I'm still poor. Not for long though, mark my words.....Anyway, I did grow up in a poor family and for a girl like me, it was hard. I loved fashion, sparkly things, glitter peacock tails, makeup palettes and everything you could buy at Icing or Claire's.
Unfortunately, it just wasn't something I could afford. There's a way out though and that is something I will always believe in. I grew up buying my threads and cool duds in garage sales, on my knees pawing through piles of clothes--some gently used, others not. Thrift shops were my go-to, the mall of america. A little pricey, but within reasonable range. Since then I've always believed in thrift couture, the possibility of shopping in the used market and still styling yourself fabulously. It's what I've done my whole life, buying here and there, a dollar a shirt, creating a fantastic wardrobe that I still posses today and loving it and where it came from with all my heart.
Not everything needs to be designer to be beautiful.
p.s--I think I might start a separate blog about my fashion acquired from thrift stores. :)
Dedicated to all those in whose veins run glitter and who prefer everything to be covered in rhinestones, velvet, and peacock feathers. A blog for fashion of all shape and size, form and fit, health&beauty, and of course a blog for all things cute and clever!

Candy Chapsticks Anyone?
My candy-chapstick craze began a while ago when I was a Junior in high school. My best friend had three chapsticks: a Vanilla Coke, a Dr. Pepper, and a Mountain Dew one. I wasn't much into chapstick besides the occasional swipe of [insert generic brand here] chapstick when my lips were cracked and all but bleeding. Luckily, I never really had dry lip problems when I was younger and lived in a warmer place.
Anyway, my friend had these three chapsticks and she knew I absolutely loved Vanilla Coke so she gave me that chapstick. I loved it, not only because it did taste and smell like Vanilla Coke, but also because it was just so freakin' cute. It really grew on me. But it wasn't until years later that I began buying more and more of the candy themed chapsticks. I bought a whole bunch of them....I think I have around 50 now. Isn't that insane? They're relatively cheap, so I never really felt bad buying one or two every other week. Hehe! They're just so cute, I can't help looking at them and using them.
They're not for everyone though. What does everyone think? :)
---This photo isn't one of my chapsticks, I'll post those soon though. I just found it on WeHeartit.com. Disclaimed.

The First Post of a Fabulous Blog!
This is going to be a fantastic blog.
How can it not be? If this blog was a person, it would be a six-foot-seven drag queen, covered in rhinestones, leopard fur, and seventeen pounds of M.A.C cosmetics. In short, fabulous.
I've always wanted to write a blog about what I love most in this life...those little cupcakes life gives us that make us squeal in adoration becuase of how freakin' cute and clever they freakin' are. I think I utter the descriptive "cute" around three thousand times a day, giving a conservative estimate here. I don't know what monster lies within me that feeds on the adorableness of a peep-toe bootie, a pug puppy, a pair of sprinkled donut earrings, and of a perfectly cut, cobalt blue peplum dress.
So pretty much this is another fashion, health & beauty, style, relationship & love, blog. But this blog is going to be a playful, fun, and totally fab. Unlike those other blogs. Tee-hee!
How 'bout these fantastic hot pink pumps? I love me a classic shape in a poppin' color! I would totally wear these on a night out on the town, paired with an equally cute dress! :)
